Beach Trip & Charlotte's 1st Birthday

We went to the Ocean Isle, NC with my family the last week of May and had a great time. We were right on the ocean so every morning Charlotte would get up and point out the window, basically trying to get someone to take her out there! We ate great seafood, hung out on the beach, and just relaxed.

We also celebrated Charlotte's 1st birthday! I can't believe Charlotte is a toddler, and she is walking around everywhere now. She wasn't too interested in her cupcake though. She just played with it and wanted the chips we were all eating. Charlotte, you are such a wonderful gift from the Lord, we thank God each day for you!

Yay! I'm in a hole!

Charlotte at 1 year

We just got back from the beach with the Moxley family and had a great time! I will post pictures from the trip later as well as from Charlotte's 2 birthday parties she had. We had her 1 year check up today. She weighs 24 pounds (90%) and is 30 inches tall (75-90%). She had 4 shots and had her finger pricked to check for anemia. She didn't cry at all for the finger prick but was really curious at what was going on! 


She is walking all over the place now! She is becoming more and more of a "girl" - one of her favorite things is to go through my jewelry box that has all my chunky necklaces and put them on. She also likes to take my makeup brushes and brush her face with them. She was given a little purse with a puppy in it for her birthday but she likes to just carry it and put random things in it that she finds throughout the house. Here she is with her jewelry on:
